The Bannockburn Elementary School Parent Teacher Association is a non-profit group of parents and teachers whose goal is to actively support the education and enrichment of the students. Bannockburn serves 350 students from Kindergarten to 5th grade and is part of the Whitman Cluster in the Montgomery County Public School system.

The PTA provides funds for school supplies, classroom programs and improvements. The PTA sponsors a school wide Artist in Residence Program and ongoing Cultural Arts assemblies, Book Fair, Science Fair, Math Day and a variety before and after-school enrichment activities.
